Previously, Kiddo and her fish friends found the magic portal back to Greatgramma’s pond, but they couldn’t get through.
So they found a safe place to hide and think up a plan.
Kiddo is safe for now while she sorts out her troubles. Let’s hope that she doesn’t take too long.

Back in June of 2021 I drew this mood sketch for The Three Pearls in my digital sketchbook. Alice and Gilbert were originally a Giant Salamander and a big Bullfrog, respectively. It’s pretty cool to look back and see how far this story has grown and morphed. And to think it all started with a little daydream about my great grandmothers small backyard pond.
